IC3D is a 3D printing workshop converging traditional manufacturing processes with digital technologies. In response to the COVID-19 crisis, IC3D created the first 3D printed face shield design approved by Veterans Health Administration in collaboration with the NIH and America Makes. Production pivoted to create durable and reusable face shields that have been declared exempt by the FDA. By activating a MakeForce of over 175 individuals, schools, and companies with 3D printers, IC3D has shipped PPE to frontlines across the country, including thousands to the State of Ohio Department of Public Health.

Face shields are customizable with logos, and come in a variety of colors. Adult and child sizes available.

Product Details:
Visor printed using PETG (durable thermoplastic)
½ inch thick, comfortable, closed-cell foam to prevent slippage
.20 mm thick PETG clear sheet/shield
Adjustable elastic band made from a Polyester/Nylon blend

 Pricing - $6/shield
Accessory kits are also available to replace parts that may need replaced after extended use ($4). Each kit includes one elastic band, comfort foam pad, and plastic sheet.

IC3D Face Shields can be disinfected using cleaning products such as alcohol and bleach. The clear plastic shield may appear cloudy after applying a cleaning solution. To guarantee a clear view, spray with anti-fog coating like Rain-X, after cleaning.
