The Oak Harbor Apple Festival is a beloved annual tradition held every year on the second full weekend of October in downtown Oak Harbor. Drawing over 30,000 visitors, this vibrant event packs a weekend full of excitement within a cozy two-block walking area.
The festivities kick off Saturday at 9:30 AM with the crowning of our Royalty Court during the opening ceremonies. The day continues with the adorable Baby Contest, the Grand Parade at 2:00 PM, a lively Cornhole tournament, and live music from “The Junk” in the entertainment tent.
Sunday promises just as much fun, featuring the Classic Car Show, a 5K Run, the Kids’ 1 Mile Fun Run, and performances by local talent, ensuring a day filled with enjoyment.
The festival offers something for everyone, including a delicious array of apple-themed treats like apple butter, apple dumplings, apple pies, apple cookies, apple cider, and apple donuts. With tons of food and craft vendors, you’ll find a variety of delights to enjoy.
Best of all, admission is free! A convenient shuttle service is available from the high school parking lot for just $1.00, making it easy for everyone to join in the fun.
