Cancellations Due to COVID-19 Prevention
As a result of recommendations from the State of Ohio related to COVID-19, Otterbein University is cancelling events, conferences and camps that were scheduled to be held on campus through July 31, 2020.

Because of the nature of summer programming, most events we will not be able to be postponed, but will need to be canceled. However, The Office of Events and Conferences team is happy to work with you on planning your summer of 2021 event or rescheduling.

Thank you for your patience as work through this process. We will continue to work closely with public health officials.

Surround yourself with other students who share your passion and energy for music. Develop new insights into yourself as a musician and a performer. Challenge yourself in a week of intensive, real-world music study. Build your confidence through collaboration with other serious musicians.

The Otterbein Summer Music Experience will take place from Monday June 1 until Saturday June 6, 2020 in the Battelle Fine Arts Center at Otterbein University. The camp caters to high school students interested in finding an immersive musical experience in central Ohio. The camp caters to commuters as well as offering overnight options, with programming from 9 AM until 9 PM every day. Instruction is offered in violin, viola, cello, double bass and guitar as well as voice, piano, winds and brass instruments, and composition. Students will not only study their instrument, but also explore music theory, musician wellness, topics from music history, improvisation, aural skills.

Application Deadline: April 19 for scholarship consideration; May 18 application deadline.
