The Mad River & NKP Railroad Museum is located near downtown Bellevue, Ohio and contains a large indoor and outdoor collection of traina and railcars, railroad related memorabilia and more. Showcases include many train engines, (including our newest 757 Steam Locomotive), freight cars, passenger cars and cabooses. Many of the cars are filled with displays that await you and your family or group. The Mad River & NKP Railroad Museum is open daily 12:00pm to 4:00 pm from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Add more fun to your trip! Join Sandusky CVB in Sandusky County for a guided tour of the historic 1892 Sandusky County jail that has ties to President Rutherford B. Hayes then walk through an underground tunnel to our 1840's Dungeon located underneath the Sandusky County Courthouse. Hear exciting stories of some of the colorful criminals that resided in the jail while learning the significance of this rare and historic structure.
